I believe I was with the servants.... We must have been in one of the kitchens, talking and laughing and having a good time I think, sitting on chairs or stools, or standing against the counters.... when something bad happened.  There was a man.  He wore a pale blue button-up shirt, and grey-beige trousers.  His feet were bare.  I don't know where he came from, but he was horrible.  Like an animal.  He came from nowhere, and attacked us tooth and nail.

I don't know what he was; he didn't seem like a normal human.  He was crazed, like something with rabies, lashing and gnashing and scratching and biting and swiping like he wanted to kill us a

How could this happen?  How could this Emperor have put on this banquet, here, and now?

Why was it like this?

I don't remember....

I don't remember....

How did this torture end?

How did I calm down....?

I don't remember where he came from; I don't remember when he came in, when he found me....  Or did I find him?  One of us found the other.

But was it because of him?  It must have been.  He must have been the one who set me at ease.  He must have allayed my fears.

There was a young servant.  One of many, really, but he was the only one I remember seeing dressed like that.  He wore very simple white clothing of some soft, modest linen.

As the small crowd of servants and soldiers stood by, The Emperor explained to the few upper guests assembled in the antechamber—the few who would handle it calmly and rationally—about the footsharps.

Footsharps....  It was a strange word, a functional mock-up, translated over from whatever Eastern dialect the Emperor and his household spoke.  For there was no other name to use for them in English.

The Emperor acknowledged that it must have seemed very strange for the soldiers to come in striking their weapons at the air, chasing phantom sparks along the floor.  He explained that the sparks had been more than they appeared.  The s

There was a snapping, zapping sound.  I was near the corner, near the door by stage-right.  I looked up.  A small burst of bright blue and purple sparks erupted near the middle of the floor.  A blazing, lightning-barbed ring of electricity, the diameter of a grapefruit, down on the tatami.  It vanished, then erupted again a fraction of a heartbeat later, several feet closer to the performers and the Emperor.

I had a dream last night.  Closer to this morning actually.

I believe it involved, of all things, a ward activity.  But it was unlike any ward activity I had ever attended.

I was with the ******** **** Twelfth Ward, and we had all been invited to attend a banquet at the palace of an Emperor.

The road to the Emperor's palace began in the valley below.  There was a quaint little town, charming, like something in the Alps.  The sun shone most days, the grass was long and green or yellow-grey, a

Oh gads it's like some unholy breed of Power Rangers.... Flapping in at number five on Contraltissimo's DeviantArt How To Train Your Dragon DVD Countdown List of RIDICULOUSNESS.... Featuring the Red Green Death, now with duct tape.... here comes the

Anthro Attack!



(....Which isn't exactly a fitting title, as these are technically zoomorphs, not anthropomorphs. But hey for the sake of the concept anyway....)

AHEM!

Anthros. You see them all over DeviantArt, in every size and form you can think of. They've flown, galloped and slithered their way into every fandom imaginable, and when How To Train Your Dragon arrived on the scene.... it was no exception.

Indeed, it would be most intriguing if our animal pets had opposable thumbs, or could walk upright, or could speak to us.... or if we humans could fly on wings of our own, or had big fuzzy swiveling ears, or could stroll on zygodactyl toes--quite handy over rough terrain I daresay.

But for better or worse, the phenomena of anthropomorphization and zoomorphization have definitely scratched out their own bits of territory in the HTTYD universe.

Yeah I had to watch like a half a dozen episodes of Gargoyles before I drew this. .... Oh man I am not proud of this. Except maybe the shield. I'm proud of that. And Snotlout's wing. And Red's face; I'm pleased with how that came out. And maybe Astrid's limb-design; that was fun, how she has just the two little claws, there. And maybe the twins, too. And all the crazy legs and tails back behind, with the crazy details, and.... .... Okay, I guess I'm a little proud of it.
Yay Contraltissimo survived drawing this picture! :w00t:

Usually these things look more human when I see them. With human body and face, dragon horns, dragon wings, and dragon tails. Heres one I faved [link]

plus what does Red Green have anything to do with httyd? although he does look totally hilarios trying to be all scary with his duct tape.

My dad used to watch that show when I was a little kid. I actually liked it too even though I was so little. I was one of those kids ho liked adult shows usually. I still liked some kid shows though.

so if we were doing as gargoyles as Dragons .. how would it work?

Nightmare would be brookyn

Terror would be Lex

Zippleback would be Coldstone and Coldfire

Nadder would be Angela

Gronkle would be Broadway or Bronx ( not sure)..

also not sure who would be toothless and Red Death. (Demona ain't that Huge to be R.D and Goliath ain't that small to be toothless)
